Lawns - Facilities

	Lushoto is a quaint town with a village feel to it. It is set in the Usambaras 1500 meters above sea level, founded in the 1890's by German settlers. We have some of the best camping facilities in Tanzania available on our grounds. These include: Hot & Cold individual shower blocks, toilets, spacious grounds & sheltered cooking "banda". Campers are welcome to utilise all hotel facilities.
Bus services to all major towns daily. Taxi services are also available. Banking services are limited to USD, EUR, Sterling. Travellers cheques are accepted by us, regrettably no credit card or EFTPOS / ATM facilities are available at this point. Cell phone coverage in Lushoto is very good (provided by three networks now). Telephone rates have been highly reduced for overseas calls, although no collect calls are available in Tanzania.
	Medical facilities have been greatly improved and the local hospital offers competent and assuring care. Internet facilities are available at low costs. Shopping for campers needs is readily available - fresh, dry or imported goods. Child minding on request is reasonably rated. Please note that tipping is encouraged.
