Lawns - Attractions
- The spectacular viewpoints, which look into the Masaii steps, sheer drops below, to the main Arusha - Dar-Es-Salaam highway.
- A must is a days drive (there & back) to Mtae, where on a clear day you can see Mount Kilimanjaro, the Kenyan Plains, the Parre Mountains & Mkomazi Game Reserve.
- Visit our largest town - whilst driving past numerous sisal estates - Tanga, which was a hub for the sisal industry, but now a quiet seaport town with fresh seafood in abundance.
- Thursdays and Sundays are the market days in Lushoto for local colour, be prepared for a noisy atmosphere and to barter for your wares.
- Be adventurous and drive around the surrounding rural roads to see some of the beautiful old homes originally built by the settlers.
- Stargazing at the Lawns is a new addition, with our brand new powerful professional telescope The Star Trails of Kilimanjaro.
